MathMyth Privacy Policy

Effective: October 22, 2026 · Apps: MathMyth (com.mathmyth.app), MathMyth Pro (com.mathmyth.pro)

1. Overview

MathMyth (the free app, "Free app") and MathMyth Pro (the paid app, "Pro app") are math learning apps used mainly by children. Neither app has sign-up or login, and the developer runs no server that collects or stores users' personal information. The apps are built so that no name, contact detail, or account is collected.

This policy covers the two Android apps above. The website version follows the privacy policy on that website.

2. Information stored only on your device

  • Learning progress, homework records, wrong-answer notes, child profiles (nickname, avatar, grade), settings, and the parent PIN (stored in encrypted form)

This information stays in the app's on-device storage (IndexedDB and local storage) and is never sent to the developer. It is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data. Because the data exists only on the device, it cannot be recovered if the device or app data is lost.

3. Permissions

The apps use only the Internet permission (INTERNET), which the Free app uses to load ads. They do not request camera, microphone, location, contacts, file, or photo access, and the advertising-ID permission (AD_ID and related) is removed from the apps.

4. Ads (Free app, Google AdMob)

The Free app shows Google AdMob ads on result screens and after homework is finished, never while a child is solving a problem. It requests only non-personalized ads and applies child-directed treatment with a maximum content rating of General (G).

AdMob may process the following information to deliver, measure, and protect ads, under Google's policies.

InformationPurpose
Approximate location inferred from IP addressRegion-appropriate ads, fraud prevention
App interactions such as ad impressions and clicksAd measurement, analytics
Crash and performance data, device information (model, OS version)Ad SDK stability, analytics

See how Google uses data from partner apps (https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites) and Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).

5. Pro app

The Pro app has no ads, no ad requests, and no analytics tools, and does not collect or share personal information. An ad library is included in the app package but is never initialized and never requests ads.

6. Payments

The Pro app is a paid app purchased once on Google Play. Google processes payment details; the developer does not receive them. Neither app has in-app purchases. The link from the Free app to the Pro app's store page opens only after a parent check.

7. Moving learning records

The two apps do not share learning records automatically. A file or text a parent exports with "Move learning records" in Settings is managed by the parent and is not sent to the developer.

8. Children

The apps are designed for children from about age 5 to 15 and are directed to children. Because no personal information is collected, they are designed so that parental-consent procedures are not needed. Adding or removing a child, changing settings, and opening websites outside the app go through a parent check (a math question or PIN). The developer does not show children behavior-based ads.

9. Disclosure to third parties

The developer does not sell or provide users' personal information to third parties. Information processed by the ad SDK in the Free app (section 4) is handled under Google's policies.

10. Retention and deletion

The developer's servers store nothing, so no separate deletion request is needed. You can delete on-device information by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app.

11. Changes

If this policy changes, we will post it on this page and update the effective date.
