Kkwang Privacy Policy
Effective: October 11, 2026 · App: Kkwang · Package: com.mindstartium.kkwang
1. Overview
Kkwang (the "app") is a collection of luck-based party games for deciding penalties, who pays or who goes next. The app has no sign-up or login, and the developer (Byeoltieum, a counseling and education institute) operates no server or database that collects or stores users' personal information.
2. Information stored only on your device
- Player names (nicknames), penalty and prize text, today's record (how many times each name was picked)
- App settings (language, sound), ad frequency counters, purchase and pass status
This information stays on your device and is not sent to the developer. It is removed when you uninstall the app.
3. Permissions and device features
The app does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts or photo permissions.
| Permission / feature | When it is used | Purpose and handling |
|---|---|---|
| Internet, network state | Ads, hosting or joining rooms, fetching operating settings | Loads ads, exchanges game progress between room participants, and downloads a settings file such as ad frequency. |
| Vibration | Game effects | Vibrates at moments such as a pick or an explosion. |
| Motion sensor | The "Pop the Cork" game | Reads how hard the phone is shaken, in real time on the device. Nothing is stored or transmitted. |
| Keep screen on | While you are in a room | Stops the screen from turning off during a game. |
4. Multi-device rooms
When you host or join a room, the name you typed, your game actions (what was tapped on whose turn) and the results are sent to the devices of the other people in the same room. This does not pass through a developer server, and the developer does not receive or keep it. Room data disappears when the room is closed.
| Connection | Handling |
|---|---|
| Anywhere (remote) | Devices connect directly (WebRTC) or exchange messages through public relay servers (MQTT and Nostr relays). Content sent through relays is end-to-end encrypted with a key derived from the room code, so relay operators cannot read it. IP addresses may be visible to relays and to the other devices while connecting. |
| Same Wi-Fi | The host's phone talks directly to participants' devices inside the same Wi-Fi or hotspot. This traffic stays on that local network and is not encrypted, so use a network you trust. |
Participants without the app join in a web browser (https://randombomb.pages.dev or an address served by the host's phone). That join page shows no ads.
5. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app shows Google AdMob ads: a banner on the home, settings and game list screens, and an interstitial when moving on after a game ends. There are no ads during a game or the result reveal, and no ads are shown while Remove Ads or a Tonight Pass is active. AdMob may collect the following and send it to Google for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention.
| Information | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Advertising ID, app set ID | Ad delivery, ad measurement, fraud prevention |
| Approximate location inferred from IP address | Region-appropriate ads, fraud prevention |
| App interactions such as ad impressions and clicks, crash and performance data | Ad measurement, analytics |
The app checks ad consent with Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP), and you can change your choice any time under "Ad privacy choices" on the home screen. See how Google uses partner app data (https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites) and the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). You can reset or delete your advertising ID under Settings > Google > Ads to turn off personalised ads.
6. In-app purchases (Google Play)
Remove Ads and the Tonight Pass (24 hours) are processed by Google Play billing. Payment details are handled by Google and are not received by the developer. To know what you bought, the app keeps only the purchase status provided by Google Play on your device. Whether the host is ad-free (yes or no) is sent to the apps of people in the same room, solely to turn ads off in that room.
7. Operating settings file
The app downloads a settings file (ad frequency and the list of relay servers) from static hosting (Cloudflare Pages). The hosting provider receives ordinary connection information such as your IP address; the developer does not collect or analyse it.
8. Children
The app is a party app for adults and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect children's personal information.
9. Third parties and international transfer
The developer does not sell users' personal information or provide it to third parties. Information collected by the ad SDK in section 5 is processed by Google LLC (United States) under Google's policies. The public relay servers in section 4 and the hosting in section 7 may be located outside your country; relays receive encrypted content only.
10. Retention and deletion
No personal information is stored on developer servers. Names, records and settings on your device are removed when you clear them in the app (reset today's record) or uninstall the app. Ad data can be managed under Settings > Google > Ads.
11. Changes
If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
